Letter from the Managing Director

Dear members and friends,

As we enter the second part of an eventful 2011, we foresee with positivity great success ahead.

We continue to promote Jordan to the world as a stand-alone destination, with its greatly diversified offerings of unique experiences. Not only that, but we have positioned Jordan as the ultimate family destination, as it offers vacationers a chance to easily explore archaeological sites to teach kids about the history of great civilizations that have passed, as well as a chance to relax and splash around in the sun, among many other available experiences for the whole family to enjoy.

As the beautifully pleasant summer weather invades Jordan, we prepare to welcome a great number of visitors from the GCC who continue to come to Jordan to enjoy its moderate climate, family-friendly atmosphere, and the wide range of activities and festivals.

We continue to excel in our promotion of Jordan and are leaders in the field of online marketing, as we set an example when we invited over a dozen travel bloggers to share their distinctive experiences in Jordan to the world. As such, not only did we rank as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Tourist Boards Online in the world, but we generated massive media buzz and ensured that Jordan was on everybody’s mind. It is now a must-travel-to, on-every-bucket-list, one of the most talked-about destinations in the world!

Welcome to the first edition of the JTBWire for the summer of 2011!

Nayef Al-Fayez
Managing Director
