Royal Jordanian suspends operations to five destinations

Window display campaign: In co-op with TO Let’s Go Tours JTB is doing a Jordan window display campaign in 24 travel agencies throughout Switzerland. The Jordan displays will also contain travel offers to Jordan and will create awareness amongst consumers passing by.
   
Co-op marketing: In co-op with TO Holiday Maker Tours JTB will publish an exclusive Jordan folder which will contain several Jordan travel offers such as a cultural roundtrip as well as beach holiday stays in Aqaba and at the Dead Sea.
   
Consumer fair: JTB will participate in this regional consumer travel fair “Ferienmesse 2012” in Basel. We will have our own 6m2 stand decorated with Jordan pictures and with our brochures on display. Basel being the birthplace of Swiss explorer Burckhardt we will focus on his rediscovery of Petra 200 years ago.
   
Radio promotion: In co-op with TO Tradewings Jordan will be presented as the main destination on this weekly radio show in Geneva and Lausanne in the French part of Switzerland. There will be a raffle and listeners may call at the radio station to win a trip to Jordan.
   
Exclusive Jordan Folder: In co-op with TO Tradewings JTB will publish an exclusive Jordan folder in French which will contain several Jordan travel offers such as a cultural roundtrip as well as beach holiday stays in Aqaba and at the Dead Sea. The folder will be distributed to all direct clients and travel agencies.
   
TV Press trip: The national Swiss TV station ‘SFR’ will travel to Jordan to do a TV feature about the 200th anniversary of Petra focusing on the traces of Swiss explorer Burckhardt. They will also try to include the opening of the Petra exhibition at the Jordan museum which will be shown in Switzerland in autumn.
   
Trade workshop: JTB will participate in this trade workshop called “Arabian Souk” which focuses on the Middle East destinations. We will have our own stand and there will be around 400 travel agents to participate in this workshop.
   
Jordan night: In co-op with French Swiss TO Tourorient and RJ JTB will organize a special Jordan night for travel agents and give them an updated information and presentation about Jordan to encourage them to sell this destination.
   
Consumer promotion: JTB will participate in this consumer promotion called “Envol” at Geneva airport with a booth shared with RJ presenting Jordan to the public. Around 5.000 visitors are expected at this event.
