Ads with religious focus:
  • Ad in Famiglia Cristiana, dedicated to religious sites in Jordan in the most important Catholic weekly magazine with million readers (1,385,195 readers).
  • Ad in Vivere in armonia, dedicated to religious sites in Jordan. Circulation: 300,972.
  • Feature in important daily Catholic newspapers, Avvenire and Luoghi dell’infinito, dedicated to the Biblical sites in Jordan.
Ad to promote the 200th anniversary in Petra: Published in the popular history magazine, ARCHEO
Ad in EV Magazine: To promote nature and adventure activities in Jordan.
Promotional campaigns dedicated to touristic sites and the Petra 200th anniversary celebrations: To be published in Il Giornale (in Turin, Milan and Genoa), Espansione, and Espansione Week.
Media trips:
  • Writer for Donna Moderna will write about the best of Jordan. Circulation 1,065,522.
  • Writer for Natura, a wildlife magazine, will write about Jordan’s nature reserves. Circulation 62,500.
TG COM 24 contest winners: A trip has been organized for the three winners of the contest ‘DIVENTA REPORTER IN GIORDANIA’ (Become reporter in Jordan). They have been chosen for their writing skills even if they aren’t professional journalists, to accomplish a full reportage about Jordan
Petra 200th anniversary roadshow in Milan (April 3rd, Padova (April 4th), Rome (April 12th), Turin (April 26th): Roadshow Petra 2012, organised by TTG Italia, in which JTB will present the anniversary of the rediscover of the Nabatean Red Rose City and the other Jordan attractions and product. The roadshow will see the participation of airline companies and tour operators to support JTB in the promotions and sales. Travel Agents and CRALS (worker and cultural associations will be invited to meet TOs, AC and JTB Italy.
Co-op activities:
  • Co-partnership with Best Tours/Kuoni on May 10th in Ravena - First appointment of the five business lunches dedicated to Jordan organised in partnership with the leading TO Best Tours for the top travel agencies based in this area. The event will be concentrated in a wide presentation of Jordan by JTB and Jordan tours by Best Tours/Kuoni. Fundamental will be to inform the TAs that Jordan is different compared to the other ME countries, safe and quiet.
  • Co-op with Etnia Travel - This is co-op between JTB, Etnia Travel TO and MSC for the presentation of Jordan during the cruise Genoa-Palermo on March 25-27, 2012. MSC will launch the new Red Sea Cruise on November 2nd and JTB will present the destination to their sales promoters and to 50 travel agents invited by Etnia Travel.
  • Co-partnership with the new TO King Holidays, one of the most well-know TOs in Italy - A) May: Radio promotion for 1 week with 30 spots of 7 minutes dedicated to Jordan on the top Italian radio network RADIO 24 hours workshop dedicated to Jordan; B) May-June: advertising on the Trade magazines TTG Italia (4 issues) and Travel Quotidiano (6 issues).
Workshops to promote Jordan as religious and cultural destination in 2012 and to increase the pilgrimage in Jordan: A 3 hour workshop dedicated to Jordan with slides and video presentation. Attendance includes 50-60 travel agents, religious promoters and a priest. The workshops will be followed by final raffle (with a trip to Jordan offered by Brevivet) and dinner for all the participants. Held in Bergamo (April 5th), Varese (April 19th), Vicenza (May 2nd), Alessandria (May 3rd), Loreto (May 10th), Rome (May 24th).
Consumer promotion: Events will be organised by Mario Verin and Giulia Castelli, two of the most important Jordan experts in Italy who have written books dedicated to the Hashemite Kingdom. They will involve the members of some very important cultural associations such as CAI, Italian Alpine Club with more than 316.000 members all around Italy. The Jordan presentations will be set up by JTB and Mario Verin and Giulia Castelli. JTB will talk about all the main Jordan attractions, shows the Jordan video, distribute Jordan brochures, while Mario Verin and Giulia Castelli will focus the discussion on Wadi Rum and the Jordan natural reserves (they are also trekkers) and they will show their photos of sites taken during their trip in the country.
Sales calls to TOs attending BMT of Naples: Meetings with TOs featuring Jordan and potentials to discuss on Jordan programs, new products, new itineraries, co-ops and Jordan promotion during the BMT of Naples. JTB will be there as a visitor.
