Dear members and friends,
We kicked off the summer with excitement...our first international conference,
Seizing Tourism Market Opportunities in Times of Rapid Change, under the patronage of HM King Abdullah, and organized in cooperation with the UNWTO, the WTTC, and the Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities. It was an overwhelming success, with over 400 attendees, and scores of travel news writers and journalists covering the event, not to mention the Jordan post-conference tours.
While the conference was a thrilling start, it doesn’t stop there. We’re launching several exciting campaigns through our
social media channels, as well as coming to a close of the Treasure Hunt campaign as the 200th anniversary of Petra fast approaches in August.
We have been monitoring the numbers of arrivals from the GCC, our number one source market, and they have been steadily increasing. This is due in part to the campaign on MBC, Al Arabiyya, and Rotana & OSN, with featured reports on their morning show and a TV spot campaign. In addition, our family brochure and summer event pamphlet are being distributed at the Al-Omari land border.
