The contest with G Adventures to celebrate their 300K Facebook fans milestone, garnered nearly 10,000 entries to win a space on their Highlights of Jordan tour. Along with promotion on Facebook, G Adventures celebrated Jordan Week on their Looptail travel blog, with a Jordan post going up every day of the week, from Monday to Friday, with questions posed each day based on the information in the posts. Entrants answered those questions for a chance to be entered into the draw for the trip to Jordan. JTB provided the airfare to the winner. Laura Vaisman from NYC, New York, USA, won the trip to Jordan, and will be arriving on December 29th 2012 to begin the tour with G Adventure.
   
September 1st 2012 marks the beginning of the promotion with HostelBookers. Along with a destination pg dedicated to Jordan, highlighting Amman, Petra, and Aqaba, there will also be a social media competition allowing entrants a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip in Jordan (excluding airfare).
   
JTB is currently running a giveaway of Jordan Boxes, to celebrate reaching 100K fans on Facebook. We began giving away a Jordan box at 80K, and then at every 5K milestone reached. We’re currently over 90K, with 100K just around the corner!
   
Three timelapse videos were created to promote Amman, Wadi Rum, and Petra. A fourth video, celebrating Jordan in its entirety, will be released shortly.
   
JTB gained popularity in 2011 for hosting travel bloggers on individual, tailored trips to Jordan. This year, while some travel bloggers have been hosted, we have hosted lifestyle bloggers, mommy bloggers, and will be hosting fashion bloggers, and a video creator on YouTube (MysteryGuitarMan – to produce a “Sounds of Jordan” video).
JTB is the first tourism board in the world to work with and sponsor a Youtuber.
