In September we ran a promotion with HostelBookers.com, promoting Jordan, and especially Petra, Amman, and Aqaba and a chance to win a trip for 2 to Jordan. The campaign was a great success, with thousands entering for a chance to win, as well as an increase in percentage of bookings to Jordan through the site. A winner, Chiara, was chosen from Italy. She will be travelling to Jordan next summer. A second month of promotion with HostelBookers.com has been booked for February 2013.

The Jordan boxes were sent to 11 lucky winners. They included lots of valuable Jordan goodies, including a Hatta, an I (Camel) Jordan t-shirt, a framed replica of Petra or Wadi Rum, a customized sand bottle with the winner’s name, a book about Jordan, a visitors’ guide, a Jordan map, and top quality Dead Sea products. The winners ranged in location from Canada, to the Netherlands, to New Zealand and Australia.

The fourth of the time lapse video series was published, this time showing Jordan in its entirety, including sites like Wadi Mujib, Jerash, and Dead Sea that were not featured in previous videos. The link to the video can be found in the Showcase, as well as here.

JTB is now the first tourism board, worldwide, to host a Youtube content creator and partner. MysteryGuitarMan produced a “Sounds of Jordan” video set to the theme of the TV show, Game of Tones. The video has garnered hundreds of thousands of views. You can view it here.
