Advertising:
  • Full page competition in Selling Long Haul/ Selling Short Breaks and Holidays on April 2013: Full page competition on the April edition of the publication distributed to travel agents, tour operators, reservations agents, homeworkers, airlines etc. The magazine focuses on new products, new destinations, industry comment, new services etc. Circuluation: 16,500.
  • Coop marketing Advertising: in various publicitions during April and May 2013 in the UK. Jordan Tourism Board is supporting several tour operators via joint activities in 2013. The activities include additional promotion on tour pages, regular banners on newsletters, dedicated newsletter, and a holding page place holder banner for two weeks. For four weeks in May there will be a Thomson Cruise Page Skyscraper promoting Thomson Cruises to Aqaba.
  • Back Cover in partnership with Cleveland Collection: in Conde Nast Spa Guide in May 2013. It is a luxury travel magazine aimed at the upmarket, independent traveller. A core readership of 335,000 discerning, intelligent and high spending men and women who invest heavily on holidays spending an average of £5,637 per person each year. On average, Condé Nast Traveller readers take 5 holidays abroad. This special edition concentrates on the spa & wellness market and is an annual publication with a long dwell time in households. Circulation: 80,050 copies sold each month.
  • Christianity Magazine: April 2013, full page April’s Christianity ‘Spring Harvest’ issue expects readership in excess of 70,000. This is their biggest magazine of the year with extensive main stage promotion at the 4 Spring Harvest Bible weeks, the biggest religious event in UK. Cirlculation: 35,000.
  • Conde Nast traveler spa guide magazine: Back cover/ full color page. Print ad for annual magazine in April. UK-international publication.
  • Church times and Herald newspaper during March and April in the UK. Half page and one page ads. Religious print advertisement segmented to people over 50 and families and church leaders all over the UK to cover both catholic and protestant church goers. Circulation: over 40,000.

  • Bright Travel Agent Training in Colchester, Tuesday 16th of April. To train independent travel agents and raise their awareness of Jordan. Part of the regional BRIGHT travel agent training programme which takes place throughout the year. Evening training session on Jordan with the BRIGHT members. Approximately 50 travel agents to be introduced to or learn more about tourism to Jordan. For Approx. 50 travel agents.
  • Bright Travel Agent Training in Harpenden, Wednesday 17th of April. To train independent travel agents and raise their awareness of Jordan. Part of the regional BRIGHT travel agent training programme which takes place throughout the year. Evening training session on Jordan with the BRIGHT members. Approximately 50 travel agents to be introduced to or learn more about tourism to Jordan. For Approx. 50 travel agents.
  • Bright Travel Agent Training in Jersey, 30th of April. To train independent travel agents and raise their awareness of Jordan. Part of the regional BRIGHT travel agent training programme which takes place throughout the year. Evening training session on Jordan with the BRIGHT members. Approximately 50 travel agents to be introduced to or learn more about tourism to Jordan. For Approx. 50 travel agents.
  • Bright Travel Agent Training in Guernsey, Wednesday 1st of May. To train independent travel agents and raise their awareness of Jordan. Part of the regional BRIGHT travel agent training programme which takes place throughout the year. Evening training session on Jordan with the BRIGHT members. Approximately 50 travel agents to be introduced to or learn more about tourism to Jordan. For Approx. 50 travel agents.
  • C&IT Forum: 25/26 of April Radisson Blu Hotel Stansted Airport. To promote awareness of Jordan among the MICE community, MICE agency buyers in the UK & Europe. JTB have enjoyed a long collaboration with Conference & Incentive Travel including display advertising, attendance at UK & European forum events, and the hosting of an inaugural Middle East forum event at Dead Sea in 2012. The success of this particular Stansted event in 2012 means that JTB will once again be participating in the forum in 2013, taking the opportunity to showcase the highlights of Jordan to the business travel marketplace.
   

Press trips:
  • Individual press trip: Nadia Sawalha published in Best (print). Nadia Sawahla is a UK TV personality and author. As well as previously appearing in popular soap Eastenders, presenting Loose Women and a winner of Celebrity Masterchef, Nadia has a weekly column in Best Magazine where she would write about her family trip to Jordan. The trip will include a stay in the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba, with day tours to Mount Nebo and Jerash. Circulation: 236,430.
  • Group press trip: Five UK journalists, writing for The Sun, Journeys, Mumsnet, AOL Parentdish and Press Association. Print and Online. Five journalists, plus their children, will take part in a family focused press trip to Jordan, taking in the sights of Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Jerash and Aqaba. The trip will be to place Jordan as a family-friendly holiday destination. Circluation: The Sun: 2,281,990, Journeys – 50,000, Mumsent-4,000,000, AOL Parentdish -556,000, Press Association – Various.
