Issue No. 36 -April / May 2013

Dear members and friends,

The spring season is among us, and we have definitely had our plates full in the past couple of months, with the opening of the new Queen Alia International Airport. This airport is a very important stepping stone for Jordan’s tourism, as it is upgrading people’s first and last impressions of Jordan, and as we all know, first impressions last in our field.

Additionally, we are very optimistic with the workshop we are organizing in Dubai on the 4th of May at the Millennium Plaza Hotel. This workshop aims to facilitate business between Dubai buyers and Jordanian suppliers, by targeting the long haul destination countries such as South America, Australia, Brazil and the Far East. Furthermore, it aims to connect tourism partners to create combined packages between Dubai and Jordan as well as giving Jordanian suppliers the chance to present their services and increase the awareness of the Jordan brand amongst the top tour operators and travel agents.

What is more, I am very happy to announce that the Jordan Tourism Board and many of our members have been nominated for World Travel Awards at the ATM this year, which is a true testament to our continued collective efforts to show how high we are raising our caliber as the worlds’ caliber continues to rise each year.
