Exhibition or participation in events:
  • AIBTM: On June 11-13 in Chicago, 1,000+ exhibitors from around the world were in attendance with buyers from all over the United States. As a leading global exhibition for the US meetings, business travel and events industry, AIBTM offers Jordan access to buyers that are responsible for international meetings that could potentially be hosted in Jordan. Jordan got to participate in one-on-one meetings with American buyers that are interested in Jordan, and especially the Dead Sea, as a destination for future events and conferences.
  • Ensemble Oasis 2013: On June 14-16 in Whistler, BC Canada, Ensemble Canada will produce an event where they bring suppliers (such as JTBNA) to meet with Travel Consultants to educate them on the destination and product. This event will increase the destination’s awareness and potentially increase traffic. Attendance: 56 suppliers and 154 consultants. JTBNA was able to reach the travel consultants with the meetings put in place. We were also able to collect all the contact information to possibly invite some of those consultants on a FAM trip this coming Fall as part of a joint program with the Ensemble travel group.
  • USTOA Congressional Caucus 2013: The second USTOA Congressional Caucus was held in Washington DC from June 19-20. Besides being another great networking event among USTOA Members, it will be an educational event for Members to learn about government issues that affect the travel industry as well as have meetings with elected officials at the US Capitol. JTBNA is sponsoring the Delegate breakfast and will have the opportunity to present and showcase Jordan to the CEOs of the major tour operator companies in the US, as well as participate in meetings on Capitol Hill with US Senators and Congress Representatives.
  • Global Travel Market: On July 24-26 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, this event will allow JTBNA to have one-on-one meetings with 50 top selling travel agents to educate them on Jordan and help promote it to their high end clients. Attendance: 113 agents that sell international travel packages worth of a minimum of $1,000,000 annually. JTBNA will have an opportunity to tap into the luxury and experiential clients these agents represent over the two-day conference.
