Ajloun

The marvels of nature and the genius of medieval Arab military architecture have given northern Jordan two of the most important ecological and historical attractions in the Middle East: the sprawling pine forests of the Ajloun-Dibbine area, and the towering Ayyubid castle at Ajloun, which helped to defeat the Crusaders eight centuries ago. Locals often take advantage of the green landscapes of Ajloun to take a break from city life and connect with nature.

Summaga Café

Summaga Café is a relaxed all-day café and restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Ajloun. It is run by Al Kifah Society, a cooperative of 25 organic farms in the Ajloun area. The menu is based on the local ingredients produced by the farms, homemade dairy products, preserves, honey, herbs and spices as well as traditionally foraged herbs and greens presented through simple, traditional dishes typical to the area. Dishes are prepared and assembled on the spot and served with warm Jordanian hospitality.
