Based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, made on Saturday the 14th of March 2020, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will be temporarily closing all tourism sites, attractions and museums. This decision was made as a preventative measure to make sure that all sites are sterilized and cleaned in an effort to protect Jordanians and visiting tourists from the transmission of Covid-19 (coronavirus). Tourism sites will reopen in one week.
The Jordan Tourism Board is thrilled to announce the launch of the very first edition of the Jordan Meeting Planner’s Guide. The new publication is considered a comprehensive guide to planning meetings and conferences in Jordan; one of the top meeting destinations in the region. In 2018 Jordan ranked second in the Middle East for number of conferences and meetings held according to statistics issued by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The newly published meeting planner’s guide is full of all the vital information a meeting planner would require to create an ideal, customized program for their event.
An all-inclusive illustrated one-stop shop guide to Jordan which details all information on meeting facilities, accommodation, professional congress organizers and destination management companies, events, and unique venues– all shown with wonderful full-color photography and up-to-date capacities for convention venues, accommodation and more.
PCMA and the Jordan Convention Bureau (JCB) have partnered to provide business events education to business events industry stakeholders in Amman, Jordan.
The new partnership was facilitated by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism (BEST) project, which seeks to enable Jordan’s transformation into a globally competitive tourism destination.
The first educational workshop resulting from the new partnership took place Jan. 18-19 at The Regency Grand Palace Hotel Amman, bringing together 25 industry professionals from the area for sessions designed to share effective strategies to increase competitiveness so they can help attract more regional and international business to Jordan.

According to the band, Coldplay chose Jordan for its natural beauty and historical and cultural significance, while also reflecting the middle eastern flavors and motifs that permeate the album’s music and artwork. With a total of 5 routes connecting between 4 countries, the new routes are a part of the ever-growing partnership between Jordan and easyJet. HE Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Majd Shweikeh, elaborated: “Jordan has witnessed a tremendous positive shift in the tourism sector in 2018, and in 2019, the momentum is still as steadfast as it was last year. (Amman - May XX, 2019) – Jordan Tourism Board has signed a partnership agreement with EnjoyJo project, the brainchild of 17-year old King’s Academy student Robert Said, which aims to enhance the Jordanian tourism sector by providing additional valuable services to Jordan-bound tourists. The project was created with an aim to benefit both the tourism industry and local businesses, as well as add value to tourists when visiting Jordan, all without incurring any cost by JTB nor the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
